With the opening of their new Park Royal pool around the corner, Pedalheads came to OK Dave to get the word out. Alongside copywriter Marcus Wreland, we put together a fun and bouncy ad set that highlights the convenience of the long classes in the vibrant location. Parenting is hard, why not relax or get things done in the hour your kid is in class?
We brainstormed the concept and worked with the client to make sure their key messaging got through. The illustrations, situations, and animations were done by me and I even designed some new parent characters to match the kids. They were executed as animations, display ads, and transit shelter ads.
We also made a poster for the waiting area at the pool that shows the skills a kid need to advance.

Progression Poster
Parents often ask when their child will advance in their lessons and it can take instructors a lot of time and effort to explain why a kid may not be ready to move up a level. It wastes a lot of the instructors’ time and can be confusing for both parties. Enter the progression poster; a diagram that uses the illustrated characters to quickly impress the moves on the parents so they can better understand how they can help their kids advance. The text may look small but the poster itself is 4 x 6 feet large.
I also made a small version of the poster that instructors could keep on their clipboards in case parents still approached them and they needed the visible aids. The text takes up a bit more space to ensure readability at this size.
